Black America
Black America, a weekly talk show hosted by
Carol Jenkins, offers an “in-depth conversation that explores what it means to
be Black in America.” This Emmy®-winning opening sequence presents a multi-angle
view of the ups and downs, the rhythms and tensions of the black experience. Timed
to an original musical score by Tyrik Washington, an undulating titlescape springs
to life as instances of black achievement and struggle—captured in a series of
historic and contemporary photographs—send seismic waves over the contours of
the American landscape.
