Shades of US

Opening sequence for CUNY TV's Shades of US, "a series, that focuses on race and ethnicity through people’s’ journeys of self-identity....at a time when the country's population is shifting drastically." As debate rages nationwide over the continued display of Confederate statues – symbols, if not celebrations, of our country's legacy of white supremacy – this CG opening offers up new subjects deserving of recognition: the ethnically diverse lives of ordinary individuals. Here they are brought to light, their contours into full relief, and given a heartbeat as living, breathing monuments. Shades of US is produced by Darrell Brown; original music by Tyrik Washington.
